A Day of Reflection: Nuclear Remembrance in the Yakama Community

Yakama Nation Environmental Restoration Waste Management and Columbia Riverkeeper present an event that brings together powerful storytelling, cultural knowledge, and reflections on nuclear history and future.

The fight for Hanford will outlive us… but can’t be won without us.

Come hear Hiroshima survivor Norimitsu Tosu as well as young adults from the Fierce Nonviolence Pilgrimage share their stories.

The pilgrims will have heard from communities impacted by nuclear weapons in Spokane and the Hanford area, and are on their way to Bangor Naval Base, which houses the largest concentration of deployed nuclear weapons in the U.S.
